Moore-Hill rivers

The Moore-Hill lies north of Perth and has an area of 24 533 km2. It has three main rivers: the Moore, the Hill and the Nambung.

Rainfall varies from approximately 650 mm in the south-western corner to approximately 300 mm in the north-eastern corner (mean annual rainfall 1975–2003). A large proportion of the region has been cleared and the predominant land use is non-irrigated cropping.

While there are no major dams, there is a heavy reliance on groundwater.

Areas of nature conservation are present, predominantly near the coast.
