Bickley Brook - Upstream BICKBK01A

Basin : Swan-Coastal

Catchment : Canning River

The condition of the Bickley Brook - Upstream BICKBK01A site (site code: BICKBKIN), in the lower catchment of  Bickley Brook was assessed between 13 and 14 October 2016, over a 100-m length of stream. The site was also assessed in spring 2011, 2012 and autumn 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2016.

The assessment was conducted using standard methods from the South West Index of River Condition. Measures chosen for this assessment only included water quality (dissolved oxygen, temperature, electrical conductivity and pH) logged over 24h.

However, fish and crayfish, macroinvertebrates, aquatic habitat, water quality (dissolved oxygen, temperature, electrical conductivity and pH logged over 24h, and colour, alkalinity, turbidity and nutrients), fringing vegetation, channel morphology, erosion, connectivity, local land use and flow were assessed at a site 200 m downstream at site Bickley Brook - Canning River confluence (BICKBK01A / 6164483).
