The Mily Oaka site (site code: BR271MILY3/6090093) was assessed on 4-5 March 2025.

Only aquatic biota and water quality was assessed, using the standard methods from the South West Index of River Condition.

Fish and crayfish

Four fish and one crayfish species were found during the assessment:

  • Bostockia porosa (Nightfish)
  • Galaxiella munda (Western mud minnow)
  • Galaxias occidentalis (Western minnow)
  • Nannoperca vittata (Western pygmy perch)
  • Cherax cainii (Smooth marron)

The presence of the western mud minnow and is of ecological significance and a conservation priority.
