Wungong River - WUNGRIV01A

The condition of the Wungong River - WUNGRIV01A site (site code: WUNGRIV01A), in the middle catchment of  the Wungong River was assessed between 11 and 12 October 2016, over a 100-m length of stream. The site was also assessed in spring 2011, 2012 and autumn 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2016.

The assessment was conducted using standard methods from the South West Index of River Condition. Measures chosen for this assessment included water quality (dissolved oxygen, temperature, electrical conductivity and pH logged over 24h).

However, fish and crayfish, macroinvertebrates, aquatic habitat, water quality (dissolved oxygen, temperature, electrical conductivity and pH logged over 24h, and colour, alkalinity, turbidity and nutrients), fringing vegetation, channel morphology, erosion, connectivity, local land use and flow were assessed at a site 300 m upstream at site Wungong River - WUNGRIV01 (6164351).
